I see in this work my family’s history of suffering in the Turkish genocide of the Armenian people. I feel these sculptures reflect all of humankind’s experience of tragedy and its survival through hope.
For me, creating these sculptures is like walking inside a brain that is full of ideas. In making this work, there is no limit to the imagination. I want to let each person read the sculptures in their own individual way. In every piece they can find their own story. The sculptures are poems written in a language that everyone can read. |
